How do I visit Ephesus from Selçuk?

We're staying in Selçuk. What's the best way to visit Ephesus and how long should we plan?

It's a short taxi or minibus ride from Selçuk. Ask the driver to drop you at the upper gate, then walk downhill through the site to the lower gate.

Plan three to four hours. The Terrace Houses have a separate ticket and are worth it.
Go early. By late morning tour buses arrive and there's very little shade.
