Is there a time of year that works well for both Istanbul and the beaches?

Late May to June and September to early October work well for both. The sea is warm enough and the city isn't too hot.
July and August are very hot inland and busy on the coast. Cappadocia can be very hot at midday then.
April is lovely in Istanbul when the tulips bloom, but it's still too cold for swimming.
