Is the overnight bus from Istanbul to Cappadocia comfortable enough to sleep on?

I'm thinking of taking the night bus from Istanbul to Göreme instead of flying to save a hotel night. How comfortable are the seats, and will I actually get some sleep? Travelling in late April.

The big intercity companies use modern coaches with reclining seats, a screen in the seat back and a steward who brings tea and snacks. It's comfortable by bus standards, but expect a couple of rest stops during the night when the lights come on.

If you're a light sleeper, bring earplugs and an eye mask.

Check whether your bus goes all the way into Göreme or stops in Nevşehir. Some only go to Nevşehir and you then need a shuttle (servis) to Göreme, which the company usually provides. Ask when you book.

Try to book a single seat. Many coaches have a 2+1 layout, so the single seats on one side give you more room and no neighbour.
